Abruzzese - Nothing
Hirvonen - Scrawny version of uninteresting
Timmens - Has 14 good NHL games, crazy concussion history and just came back from a significant injury.
2024 1st - Leafs fans expect this to be pick 32, there's not a ton of value there.
2026 1st - Completely uninteresting.

Pretty well a no benefit deal for the Flames..

Neither Calgary Dmen are worth a high end prospect... any team looking for a dman by the deadline will be drafting in the 20-30 range so thinking you're gonna get a 1st in the top half of the 1st round is ludicrous.

So both combined and retained are still worth nothing at all?? That logic doesn't make a whole lot of sense does it? You expect the LEafs to pick in the 20 - 30 range?

So the Leafs pay more than a first rounder for each of Calgary's 4th and 5th Dmen.....no thanks.

That's likely the proper value for the two Flames d-men who are about to become UFAs. Timmins can play when healthy, and Hirvonen will be an OK player. The question here is can the Flames get more than proper value for these guys at the TDL? I believe they can, if they can stay healthy.

No team is gonna give a top 15 draft pick for a 3rd pairing dman. Zadorov at best is worth a 2nd rd pick with retention a 3rd without.. Tanev is about a 2nd rd & 4th rd picks with retention or a 2nd rd pick without. Thats exactly what they are.. not 1st rd pick worthy at all

Wranglers right, this is of little interest to the Flames considering the other offers that’ll be rolling in

Leafs have No Valuable Trade Pieces and anything that could be considered of value is either untouchable or way over valued by Leafs Fans here. You can go with hope & projection all you want, but we’re not giving you actual proven NHL Players for nothing

Who said they would?

You're saying the cost of retention is a 4th round pick? That's categorically wrong. The Leafs just paid a 1st+ for Jake McCabe, the Leafs GM historically paid a 1st++ for Travis Hamonic, a 3rd for Forbort, a 4th for Fantenberg. If you think Treliving doesn't love trying to stack the blue line you're in for a world of surprise.

You're trying to pin down value of players which is a tiresome and pointless exercise, the players are worth what some GM around the league is willing to pay for them, my point is that the trade above is a no benefit deal to the Flames, it heavily benefits the Leafs as they get exactly what they need and Calgary gets a handful of nothing.
