It’s not selling it’s adding a scorer that they are looking for while gettig a solid bottem 4 defenseman and a 1st round pick they can flip for more help or use the pick to fill their prospect pool

Doubt Canes do that. They're more likely to compete for the cup with Fast and Pesce than Maatta, Fabbri, and a 1st.

Sounds like selling to me - Pesce, even if they lose him as a UFA, is more valuable to the Canes than another wing, replacement level defender and a mid to late 1st.
