Free Vlad. Poor guy...

Counting the days til Greig is back. Huge difference maker on that 3rd line. A speedy forward who can forecheck and backcheck and is a sneaky good playmaker. He's literally exactly what Terry needs. Liked Chartier on the 4th line to start the year, but he's so far out of his depth in that role.

Also it's high time to be done with the Kubalik thing. Brings nothing to the table in this lineup. Get what you can and bring in a cheap two way 3rd liner.

Exactly, Chartier is nice in the 4th line PK role but give me Greig all day every day.

Kubalik has shown he can put the puck in the net from time to time but he is literally a black hole out there. Invisible for a guy who's 6'2". He also suffers from having no one able to retrieve the puck for him.

I'd be happy if Ottawa could replace him with Morgan Frost. More defensive upside by far, and I think he'd benefit from a change of scenery. Failing that, there are a number of useful guys in the league who could be better in that role for cheap. Ideally someone who can slide down once Pinto is back.

Yeah missing both Pinto and Greig is rough, then Kastelic should be the 4th line Center, he was good in that role last season

Chartier has been better at 4C this year. Kastelic was STRUGGLING this year, I thought it looked better with him 4RW tbh.

Also yeah, it's beating a dead horse, but Hamonic is really bad. Unfortunately Bernard-Docker has been bad too imo (though better). They don't have an internal option that's gonna take that spot from Hamonic Unfortunately. They need to make a move on the blueline. Find a way.

Give me Dean Evason all day. Players loved him, he made his team better than they should have been, and he seems fired up for another opportunity to coach

This is at Even Strength by the way. Quite bad metrics but Chartier has an heavy defensive deployment. Kastelic had an even bigger defensive deployment last season and still had much better metrics :

Shots : 28.57 SF/60, 28.35 SA/60, 50.20 SF%

These stats are quite good for his role. At ES, he had 76.0 dZS%
