Weager is going to 30 years of age in six weeks. Is that a good contract for any team? Gotta think the Sabres are out of the playoffs this season. Next season they can spend cap on a UFA and not give up Rosen

Buffalo doesn’t do the VAN trade imo
If we haven’t “sold low” on Olofsson to this point, idk why we would now

As for Weegar, i don’t think he’s the right style defenseman we’re looking for- we just need a solid defensively oriented guy to pair with Power
*Jokiharju has played well his year though, so all we might really need is for him to stay healthy

And with his extension, he’s a bit old as well

He may come to like him if he scoring on JTs line. PDG was fun but he's not a top 6 guy. Unsure if they trust Hog enough yet to promote him yet.

I mean, Beau skates hard the backcheck and faster but he isn't the goal scorer Olofsson.
