Weegar cannot be obtained and I highly doubt the leafs and Canadians complete a trade

If Calgary trades more defensemen this year, it will be Hanifin or Tanev (or both) as they are UFAs. Andersson is signed for two more years after this year to a team friendly amount.

I would be pretty surprised if Montreal uses their last retention slot on a trade like this. They are likely hoping to use the retention on a bigger trade, like one involving Monahan or Allen.
