I know this is going to be an unpopular take, but I'm accepting that trade if I'm the Pens

Very unpopular take lol.

Sully clearly didn't like using Reaves. Zero chance this would happen.

Agreed, 0 chance. But I also think Sully needs to alter the system so that's part of the reason I'm for this move

Ah, can you explain your reasoning?

Because he adds something different to the bottom 6. If our bottom 6 doesn't score then I at least want them to bring something new to the table. He wouldn't be my first choice. Ideally I'd like to get either more speed, net front presence, power play help, or someone that brings physicality + a little more goal scoring. But for a 7th round pick I would take that to at least try something new there. What we have just isn't working imo.

Edit: Completely forgot how high his salary is. I mistook it and thought it was 775k. I would not accept this trade now that I know that

Ah ok. Yes, Reaves at 750k for a 7th would be fine.

I agree they need more punch in their bottom 6 but Reaves is essentially saying "we aren't going to score on this shift"

Yeah I agree. I just think we need drastic changes there. It's so brutal. I've been advocating for Kessel. I don't think a league minimum there could hurt given how our power play and current bottom 6 are.

League min for Phil would be a good deal. Press box him for half of the games to keep him fresh and put him on the PP / 3rd line for 30 games.
