There is no single acquisition that will help the Pens right now. They're playing very well at 5v5 with the current roster as is. Until the powerplay figures it out, there's no point in trying to make trades

dont see any reason AZ trade their leading G scorer (at league min contract for 2 years)

Playing... i'd disagree.

Top 5 in 5v5 xGoals
Top 5 in Combined SV%
Top 10 PK

The first and third point have been hurt the past few games due to injuries to Rakell and Acciari.

Second line has been a ghost ship since Raks went out.

They improve on the PK and the season turns around, you can then look at adding players.

Coaching needs to be the first change to shock the system.
