Not sending a goalie as I don't believe it will make a difference for EDM to get Allen.

But Kovy is probably, right now, the best bang for your buck - cap wise.

Monahan is great in the dot and can play anywhere in your line up.

Ylonen is actually decent, but he is not getting chances in MTL... but he has the talent and speed to do some damage.

Kidney is a decent prospect, but he's having a down year in a crowded laval team.

Nothing in that offer is worth a 1st, not a trade that Edmonton should make.

Oh definitely! but EDM should be in the Playoff... no, EDM MUST be in the playoff if they want to retain McJesus. While they are not worth a first seperatly - Those asset would improve their defending while not degrading their offense... the whole within the Edm's budget.

The first is only really valuable if it is top 15... after that it's guess work anyway. It's like trading a crisp 20$ bill for 500 lottery tickets - you might win something...you might win back that 20$...or you might not.

In this case, you get one ticket with a 20% win rate to get something equal or better than what you traded in the first place (when you trade an established NHLer).
