I’m not sure I would trade Phillips for Broberg, you can make the argument that Isaak Phillips has developed his game more since being drafted then Broberg has.

I would be willing to make the Roos/Broberg exchange but I’m not sure the Oilers would do that.

I don’t Think Phillips needs a change of scenery as much as the Hawks have a lot of LHD prospects in the system & they can’t all play up at the same time.
Broberg on the other hand is unsatisfied & is requesting a trade. Between that & how he has been handled (playing time & NHL vs AHL) if he is moved it will not be from a position of strength.
Hawks should not trade Phillips for Broberg 1 for 1 let alone him & Roos together.

I'd take Phillips over Broberg and management is very high on him. Roos is never going to be an NHL regular though imo but he's still only 24. Maybe as a 7th defenseman but I don't see his floor or ceiling being high at all. I think Hawks decline Phillips for Broberg and Edmonton declines Roos for Broberg. Maybe if the Hawks packaged Roos, Teply, and Basse for Broberg but then you run into issues finding ice time for him with the LD logjam and Basse is putting together another great year at St Cloud.
