I think it makes sense for both teams. Sharks are getting 2 picks that will be somewhere around 15-30 probably. Also a nice young talent they could immediately put in to the top 9 or even top 6. They could easily bury the Campbell contract with no problems. Even a buyout this summer could be feasible. They won't be competetive until at the very least 3-4 years from now. Also Duclair adds scoring depth and Backwood is a solid 1B to Skinner at a decent age. Tho Oilers could still use another defensemen

Maybe. But our 2024 1st is gonna be a late one. Broberg was drafted 8th overall and the Oilers want to find him a home where he can finally get ice time. I mean probably the 24 1st is fine, but realistically I think Broberg gets included in any deal cause Grier would want a higher potential pick and Holland would want to find Broberg a new home.

Good point. The original post has the Sharks retaining on two players but they only have one spot. Remove the retention on Blackwood to make it work.
