Okay where do I start here, samsonov won’t be back, lily gets more, I wouldn’t trade jarnkrok he brings a ton for that contract, Brodie is gonna want a touch more and minten and Cowan make the team without a doubt they almost made it this year and minten even played 4 games lol and Cowan is doing far better then him in juniors

Players taking a discount starts at the top. Torontos top players are the highest paid in the league. Very, very few players are going to take a discount only to become Toronto fans newest whipping boy.

I agree that Leafs can always get players in discount - either hometown boys at end of career (Gio, Jumbo, Wayne train) or under appreciated players looking to get paid - leafs have gotten a lot of coin for some guys but these do not seem to fit
