Tanev will be too expensive for the Leafs to acquire because they don't have a 2nd, all their prospects are either uninteresting or off limits, they need retention.

They are in no position to overspend on one asset when they need 3 or 4 different pieces and have very few good expendable assets.

Timmins wouldn't be of much, if any, interest to the Flames tbh

I'd much rather have Jarnkrok than the 3rd too... Flames could use a Right Shot Veteran like Jarnkrok imo and he would be a very useful 4C down the line as well and I don't mind his Cap Hit at all

I'd also prefer a Late Pick, Villeneuve, Holmberg, Abruzzese or McMann over Timmins as well, given Timmins has concussion issues, can never stay healthy and therefore is unreliable
