Hes had a little bit of a cold streak, his shooting percentage has come down, but he’s also shooting less, if he averages 2-3 shots a game as opposed to his 1.5 ish that he does, he will quickly get his goal rate up. But you are taking only a specific stat and not taking the larger picture into consideration, just because his shooting percentage has come down does not mean he’s now a borderline cap dump

Why would any team pay a first for Kuzmenko, when his track record so far is so irregular??

Easy pass for the Knights. The narrative that they somehow still have cap issues is tiresome and just plainly wrong, and if they did need relief there would be better ways to get that relief than massively downgrading Roy for a measly 3rd. The team is firmly trying to repeat and won't worsen their team while strengthening a team they likely could see in the playoffs.

Winnipeg has no need for Garland so they would want retention, a sweetener and a far lower return going back to take Garland's contract.
