Hanifin’s looking for an extension around $60mil/8yrs = $7.5mil/yr. That’s way better value than CAR received signing Orlov. He might even take less from an Eastern Conference Team too

I don't care if he's signed. Giving up a young defensemen who logs over 20 minutes a game in Romanov, 1st rounder and 2 of our top spects who were also 1 round picks. Sorry too much

I still think Wahlstrom, Aho and a 1st for a FA at the end of the year is plenty. Just my opinion though. Or 1st, Dulfour and Aho (just don't have room for him anymore) - to me Wally has an elite shot. Isles for whatever reason just don't give him a chance. He's never going to be a 1st liner. But I believe he can score 25 goals if you play him regular minutes on the 2nd line with a playmaker.

If you want to add a lesser prospect on top of the 1st, Wally (or Dulfour) and Aho. I would be fine with that.

Isles problem is not scoring on the back end. It's a good scoring forward and speed on the forward side. Getting Hanifin is a luxury, not a necessity to me.
