You guys are on the cusp of a rebuild. Makes total sense to get rid of him. Wilson is 29 rn. Historically, that is the age when players of his style decline. Makes no sense on paying 6 mill/year for someone just because they're the future captain of a rebuilding team. The value you get in return is cap space and a first round pick.
