We need Schneider more than a 1st, no one else to take his spot. Not a bad offer though.

The Rangers would save more over the next two years if they just bought-out Goodrow instead.

Rangers say no. They have one concussion prone promising player in Chytil, they are not going to want Timmons. Schneider is having a rough 3rd season, but he's still a baby and protection against an injury in the top 4. They would only give him, and create a hole, if they were filling another hole (I.e. perhaps Matthew Knies though the Rangers are a win now team so he doesn't necessarily fit this year).

Leafs aren’t giving up a 1st, never mind taking on boat anchor contract , unless an impact player coming back. Can’t really see the point of this trade for either team
