I had to block that Ledge & Dairy dude
Holy hell, what a psycho! 🤣🤣🤣

As for your trade ideas….
I think all we need is a faceoff winning defensive Center (Sturm works imo) and to get our guys healthy

This team can be dangerous in the 2nd half
Gonna be fun to watch

I'm still under the personal opinion that the Sabres need a veteran goalie that can teach the young guys.

Also think Watson would be a horrible pick up. Guys a plug and wouldn't be the type of vet I'd bring into an organization

I like the adds. Adding a defensive center and some size/grit should help to patch some holes. I don't know what's going on with the pp, whether it's tight shorts or scheme, but it's gonna be hard to make up any ground with the power play more likely to give up a shorty than actually score a goal. Ultimately the moves here line up with the way I think the roster should be constructed.

They need a dedicated PP coach. It's so predictable. I ldk who is orchestrating it, but they need to hand over the reigns. It's not just a shots thing, they never have a good look

Craig Anderson is still hanging around. They need some grit, they get lit up physically every night and the only people that step up are Dahlin and Cozens, and Cozens already got his jaw broke and hasn't been right since. Skinner got lit up last night, 0 response, and the team deflated instantly (not that they were really in it anyway)

They have personnel that can do the job. I don't like cozens and Skinner as the shooters, their shots from medium range seem to lack credibility. Plus neither dahlin nor power have big clappers, kinda weird that we have two first overall pick d, and neither have a booming point shot. There's still plenty of shooters- Thompson, peterka, tuch, and olofsson can all shoot, and the pp as recently as last season was fantastic.

I like that you are reasonable about this. There's too many Sabres fans that think you can win without the physical presence. There's simply too many guys that aren't built that way, and it leads to teams having a very easy comfortable game against us. Plus the Skinner hit, I mean it wasn't lucic destroying Miller, but I've gotta think that the players notice. If you are a skill player and you know that the other team can crush you with no repercussions, doesn't it make you more tentative?

I'd be looking at a guys like Marcus Foligno, Olivier from Columbus or even Tyler Myers then. Watson is physical but he loses fights all the time and comes across as the type of guy that needs a strong lockeroom to keep him in line. Getting size and grit is one thing, Buffalo needs that grit to come in the form of a stern player though, someone who can be the mean one to the youth. Perry would be another great option, depending on what he did in Chicago or course

The “grit” u wanna bring into the lineup (Watson on the 4th line i guess ?) wouldn’t have helped out Skinner last night
He wouldn’t have been on the ice
And putting a guy out there to take a run at the other team (after the fact) & get a penalty wouldn’t help either

Im all for getting tougher, if the guy can actually play well enough to be out there when it matters
Otherwise, this talk of bringing in (4th line) grit,
is just total nonsense that isn’t gonna make any difference in the situations u just described

Does having a tough guy on the 4th line make them feel any safer???

Absolutely not, which is exactly my point. There should be more in the top 9 forwards and the top 3 d. Just throwing a bag of knuckles on your bottom pair or fourth line is not a credible deterrent.

They should have never traded Foligno away. I'm still livid about that trade. The problem is they can only get someone who is available. Foligno is locked in. Olivier may be an option

It's more of a deterrent. But also adding someone else in the top 9 is better then Cozens getting his face broken again. Love his heart, but that fight has derailed his season

I like Krebs, but the Caps need Iorio. The defensive prospect pool is an area of weakness, and wing is an area of strength, so this doesn't really make sense for the Caps.

Totally get that, not selling here, Krebs is a center, he's better at center

I meannnnnn if we moved Kuzy, I'd be open to it! Having Strome, Krebs, McMichael, and Lapierre down the center sounds like it could be great in a year or two....

Probably would still want to hold on to Iorio though, but I'm very intrigued.
