I would throw Gallant in there with Berube, Evason, Woodcroft. This team needs someone who has NHL h.c experience. If , and that is a BIG if , Cooper comes available he goes to the front of the list.

Cooper will have his choice of anywhere in the League. I could see teams axe their coach just to sign him.

If Cooper becomes available he is easily the guy. I’d want someone who has some experience and has a good system defensively. Gallant, Berube, Evason, Julien would be top of list I’d think. Maybe an outside NHL circle hire like Brad Berry could work. Really they need a coach that will hold them accountable and give them the quote unquote “tough love”. And structure in D zone but that could also be dealt with by competent assistant coaches.

Gallant is interesting I thought he would get a job I don't know how it went in New York

Thinking Gallant says what is on his mind , does not sugar coat his thoughts and if he disagrees with upper management / ownership he lets them know. My kinda guy , the only problem is you wear out your welcome quickly.
