Description
I mean, the value might not be right but hey, Nylander would solve those scoring woes in St. Louis and likely be amazing with a playmaker like Thomas. Kyrou would solve the problem of 2C in the coming years as Tavares transitions to either the wing or just lower down the lineup. Not sure what RD options are out there but NYI look to be in need of a retool and Dobson has shown he can handle top spot so why not get a 1st for Polock and the Leafs can finally have a respectable right side. Varlomov is a luxury the Islanders don't need although I suspect he would want to stay but no big deal there.
I considered adding Saad with some retention but decided to stick with Varlomov. This roster also allows sufficient space next offseason to resign Marner, Tavares, Woll and Knies without too much difficulty provided Tavares is coming in a bit cheaper.

Isles assume that offer is a joke and never takes our calls again and I wouldn’t do that st Louis trade and leafs won’t trade nylanders ufa rights just ain’t gonna happen if he leaves it’s via free agency

It's a sign and trade for Willy and the leafs add? Giving up the best player and then adding to it is really not a great plan

He is on a heater of a season. The signing team will be going 7 years at 11M+ so 8 years at 10M is more manageable and worth some assets.

Hence I lead with 'the value might be off'. Yikes. Do the Isles like Polock that much? I get him and Pelech confused obviously but hes aging and the Isles aren't getting much better. I thought Dobson was starting to take his minutes away as he is a beast. So I think a 1st rounder is a good starting point. But hey, whatever, this is just fun.

I think it costs minimum lily and a 1st to get him minimum maybe add a 3rd or two and then likely get a 1st for varlamov too

You are trading a signed Nylander (the best player in the trade) a 1st, Timmins and Voit for Kyrou. This is just horrible. TO would need a hell of a lot more for a signed Nylander and if he's signing for 10*8, it will be for the team he has repeatedly said he wants to play for. Spoiler alert it's not St Louis. This is absolutely silly

Sorry my bad I missed the Nylander part. Yea blues have to take this every day of the week imo. No idea why the leafs would unless they don’t think they can resign Nylander. Its also pretty funny how your acting like Voit is more than just a throw in, also what with you incessant need to find leafs haters? It’s all you talk about man.

It's all this site is populated with. Anyone with a leaf on their jersey is trash to half of the people on here regardless of how good they are. You are guilty of this as well.

Every fan base feels the same way. It's the territory of asking for things people can tangibly see consistently by giving things they do not actively watch. Contrary to alot of belief around here, you can't really fully quantify an impact some players have based on a twitter card.

I don't know why people type angrily in response to the value of trades. I seem to recall Washington trading Forsberg for an Erat rental. I think the responses should be based on the premise of the trade and not the value because however off you think the AGMs are, there are real GMs out there too making better and worse deals.
