Agree with you that the Flames should retool and have players that have value at TDL. But that Lindholm contract is excessive for a soon to be 30 year old, second line centre.

That Lindholm contract expectation is why I think it is going to be a rental rate, but I don’t believe this trade is at a rental rate. Grz with retention may net a 3rd, but he’s in the same boat as Lindholm that his value is less because of his play this year

Thats a pretty solid trade for BOS, problem is giving Lindholm 8 years at 9mill, plus trading Griz opens a huge hole up on D (even tho hes been bad this szn)
