No they aren't. They're saying they think teams (more specifically the Leafs) are offering a 2nd and a project. Fact is the Flames aren't saying what they're asking and Treliving never gets into specifics about trade negotiations. A lot of GMs don't want trade negotiation specifics going public at all many won't even negotiate much with teams that are known for leaking things.

Lindholm didn't ride the tiny one's coattails it was the other way around. Lindholm and Tkachuk carried the soft little complimentary player, doing all the hard work and making him look good.

Dunno where you get this Minten and a 1st for Tanev alone from. For Tanev+ yeah sure. Even more depending on what the + is, if it's Tanev + Hanifin it'd take more than that. But for Tanev alone Minten + a 2nd or 3rd should be good.

Sunquist, Dellandra, Kapanean are not better what the Leafs have now (maybe Sunquist would be better)_
But an overpayment for Parayko for sure. So....you've traded two RHD Brodie and Timmins, for Tanev and Pararyko.....Is that so much of an improvement to give a 1st,2nd, Minten, and more as a premium.

Well the reason is for cap reasons's to make a trade, if the Blues were sellers. It's better for the Blues than retaining Parayko for six years, as Samsonov is in the last year of his contract.

Ya know, you guys keep saying this stuff despite the facts that a) he's been excellent all through 2023, b) he's constantly linked to interest from other teams & 3) he's even more constantly traded for in AGMs, including an incessant parade of Leafs AGMs.

Funny about goalies and Samsonov. He was really good last year. This year very irregular. You just never know. But he certainly is playing himself out of a nice contract in his upcoming UFA summer.
