Leafs don't need any more depth dmen. Their depth dman are quite solid and they are quite deep. They need a true top 4 d. Maybe 2.

Jackets aren’t trading their first round picks anytime soon. I would bet they make an offer to lindholm in UFA maybe though

Well, if you think Huberdeau sucks on his FIRST year of an enormous contract... no team wants him. Whatever the price.
Even 50% retained, I truly pray to God that the Habs will not bite. That contract is toxic.
And yes, he can't play anymore; he's on a downward spiral.

So yeah, if I were the GM, I would decline that trade.

Talk to Chicago. Maybe they will take Huberdeau as a stop-gap to play with Bedard. They're at the beginning of their rebuild so they have more runway and foresight to absorb that contract.

I'm sorry man... it's a disaster contract I know... and his play is just awful too...

I truly think that the absolute best thing Calgary can do is wait. Wait and hope that next season, he figures it out or something...

If the capitals moved Kuemper I could maybe see them going after Markstrom. But definitely not with Kuemps in the lineup
