I really like Samsonov. But yes he would. He has not been playing well this year and his cap hit is 3.55m. very few teams need goaltending. The ones who do, are cap strapped and they need someone who is performing.

Raanta has a 1.5m cap hit and just cleared waivers. Raanta has been bad this year but he has been a good goalie for years.

The Raanta result is a very good comparison. The shine and optimism might be off of Samsonov... and that was what I was thinking. He's younger and has shown promise... but I think he is what he is. I bet they put him through waivers though because Jones will have to clear again to go down after 30 days.

Buffalo needs to support LEvi and give him space. only one that might make any sense.
