A nobody, another pending UFA, someone who doesn't want to be in Canada and another goalie. That's an easy no from CGY

You haven't given Calgary and Flyers much for superior players. Petry, no way a non playoff western Canada team (Flames) would be his trade list.

A bunch of cap dumps don’t get you some of the best rentals on the market. You are at least 2 first rounders short to both teams

Jared McIsaac = No value.

David Perron = Doesn't waive for Calgary

Jeff Petry = Doesn't waive for Calgary

James Reimer = No value.

Tell me once again why Calgary would accept this trade?

The Carter Hart and Travis Konecny is even more laugh Neither trade has remotely any value for either Calgary or Philly.

Putting value, desire, fairness, and/or most other things aside, that -$1,535,390 under cap space says no.

I'm surprised the Calgary Fan was so polite. He really didn't have to be. This team was never a playoff team. Looked at some of the UFAs Yzerman has signed to fill out the roster the past couple of seasons. Chariot, Maatta, Holl, Ghost, Fischer, Sprong, and Kostin. Now Ghost and Sprong have had a very good seasons so far but they weren't expected to. Kostin has played well in the role he has been asked to play. Petry and Debrincat were traded for and both were unexpected and the roster holes had been filled. Petry is 36 and has had some really good moments and some really bad moments as well. Debrincat is really good but his addition wasn't going to turn this roster a playoff team. We have some very good prospects in GR and they are developing together. They aren't having the success that was expected but it will still make a difference when they start coming up. The problem the Wings are having aren't the type of problems you address mid season with a non playoff team. This is taking longer than expected but Yzerman has kept to the same plan just stretching it out a bit. Even if we made the playoffs Yzerman isn't going to be buying. It makes no sense for a 1st round knockout

They flyers would decline that in a heartbeat, to get both of those combine would be 4 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks
