I don't mean to be rude, but that return would be a maybe for either Jake or Letang, in no way is that remotely close for both.

Honestly, it doesn't get either player on their own. And Letang isn't waiving to go anywhere.

You're having a laugh?

Stop thinking Kuzmenko has the value of a 1st rounder and plus. He's barely a positive asset right now.

The healthy scratches aren't helping either............

I know right. I don't understand how some people have the idea that this guy is a prime high return asset. They have Kuzy last year before the extension when he was on league min and scoring at a 35+ goal pace. Not the one that has been benched in half the games, scratched in 5?

I get why Guenzel looks like trade bait - no extension - but Letang isn't going anywhere

Dude he is still scoring before pulled out of the lineup so his value is not as low you think
Is he a 39 goal scorer, all signs point to no
But that doesn't mean he can't be a 20-25 goal scorer in which case he is making what a 20-25 goal scorer gets and I can see a 1 for 1 trade with the Kraken for one of their wingers like Schwartz, Wennberg or Tanev

He's not a 1 for 1 kind of deal unless the cap hit coming back is the same, or the term is longer, but less cap hit.

Money in Money out is what Kuzy will be. He wont be a hugely positive asset. He does not forecheck, he's been benched in games, and scratched in 5 games this year...

He's not anything close to a highly positive asset

say that to a team that can't score, the guy scored twice before being healthy scratched so that is no where near negative lol
the problem with Kuzmenko is he can't play in system so it's more a Kuzmenko/Tocchett problem then just a Kuzmenko problem
So you want to give a 20 goal scorer away for nothing?
ok, but not smart or good asset management

He cannot play on the road against teams that matter. Hence why he keeps getting scratched on the road. And hell he got benched against Chicago.
I'm not saying we're getting nothing for him, if he is moved, I am saying we're not getting anything close to what every homer has in mind. We're barely going to get a money in money out middle 6 forward in return. Think Mantha.

Any team that is in position to acquire him can't afford him because Salary cap. And the teams that can afford him, either aren't in a position to acquire him, or wont use futures (which everyone claims we need to get for him) to get him.

At best, the trade will make everyone groan because they think we should have gotten a first rounder plus. Instead of the lack luster, albeit correct value, return we will get.
