You have created a very accurate AGM title. This one is done and dead before it even begins. And it doesn't even make sense; are the Blues doing a tear down rebuild or are they splurging on a top line player in his prime? It ain't gonna be both.

Blues are not retaining on Kyrou for 8 years. We don't need Samsonov and not taking the Reaves contract. Trading our best defensemen makes no sense. If we trade Parayko we are completely rebuilding so getting Nylander makes no sense in that case. You guys should probably re-sign Nylander or trade him to a team that has a lot of good defensemen which we lack.

Nylander > Kyrou & Parayko is overpaid so the Leafs are giving up 2 1st rounders to downgrade on offense, take on a good but overpaid, declining dman & to dump Samsonov & Reaves (who don’t need to be dumped). Can’t figure out why the Leafs would do this

I never said the Blues should make this trade; you said the Leafs would ‘jump at it’ which was/is patently ridiculous. Samsonov is a pending FA & Reaves can be sent to minors with $200K cap hit so hardly onerous additions. But either way - simply NO chance the leafs would do this for the reasons I stated.

I disagree, they get a younger RW retained who’s signed at a great cap hit. And a really good dman. I will say they shouldn’t give up Nylander, you’re right there. But if they find a way to make Parayko and Kyrou work for cheap they have to take it.
