No it's gotta be a 1st. You can keep Kupari too. Replace him with something Calgary would actually want

I'm not all that impressed with Lucius either. Not that he's bad, he isn't, but there's nothing about him that makes me value him more than many other prospects taken with late 1st round pick / early 2nd round picks. IMO if his draft year was redone today he'd be taken 10+ picks later than the 18th OA pick he was taken with back in 2021.

That won’t get Lindholm.
NYI wouldn’t take that deal for Pulock.
Jets have zero need or want for Edmundson or any other LHD

Sure, I would prefer Lambert too but what's important about Lucius is he is a center and projects as a 2nd line caliber one currently. If your expectations are getting a bonafide 1C caliber center prospect in return for Lindholm you probably need to lower your expectations.

I don't buy that 2nd line center projection... It's possible, almost anything is *possible I just don't see it as being very likely at all.

You dont need to believe me but experts project him as that
Chaz Lucius
His main knock is staying healthy

Staying healthy is a big reason why I don't buy it. Besides most projections aren't reasonable expectations they're sky high ceilings.

I think it’s odd to say that Lucius can’t be a 2C eventually when he has 13 pts in 16 AHL games as a 20 year old. Nobody knows what he will be at this point. I’d guess it’s more likely that he will be a middle 6 NHL winger, but if he improves away from the puck and in the faceoff dot, it’s definitely possible that he becomes a legit 2C.
