Description
Preds are right there on the edge of the playoffs, maybe they're buying after all.

Otherwise, none of this is happening. If it were going to, it would have already. I'm probably short a pick and/or prospect on each trade. I don't even know if the Oilers are that desperate to gamble that Kuemper's game returns for them where it's faltered this season for the Caps... but I don't really think that highly of their GM, so it's on the table.

Caps have to find ways to move on from Kuzy and Kuemper and add some offense. Jensen I still believe in, but whatever it is about Carbery's system that just doesn't work for him isn't going to change suddenly. See if Barrie works out, then most likely let him walk in the offseason and save a few mil on Jensen's contract.

Ok, so the 1st, 2nd and a 3rd or the other 2nd for Lindholmn, and for Hanafin a has-been, a throw in and a 2nd or 3rd? Better change the 3rd to a first or add one hell of a prospect to get both of them

I guess the NSH trade is fine?

Hard pass in the CGY trade. Caps need to keep their good picks unless it's for a young top 6 player with term.

Caps can get a lot more in the EDM trade.

would do the NSH one if we didn't retain on Jensen, tough to use up two slots in one deal.

CGY wouldn't take it and I don't think Lindholm is a good fit at all anyways

Would want significantly more to do the Campbell/Kuemper swap

Yeah looking back at it the Calgary deal is light from the Caps side. I still like Lindholm so I'd go for it, but I get it.

On the Edmonton deal.... Nah, I think this is a stretch at best. The Caps get cost savings and a younger goalie putting up similar numbers now and historically, *and* the draft picks. I wouldn't touch this deal with a 10 foot pole if I'm Edmonton, but I don't have the brain damage required to be an Oilers GM.

Campbell is barely younger and has not come close to putting up Kuemper's numbers historically and has been way below them this year. He's making 5m and struggling in the AHL, I don't really know what you're talking about ...
