Yotes Rising

Created by: Marked_Difference
Team: 2024-25 Arizona Coyotes
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 28, 2023
Published: Dec. 28, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I did not dive very deep into resigning or free agency, plenty more that would need to be done to really flesh out a roster. I wanted to take a look at the young guys that should be able to graduate next year. Cooley, Carcone, Doan, Gunther, Lamoureux, Soderstrom, Szuber. Quite a bit of good talent and custom built role-players are ready to graduate. Going to be an interesting 24-25 season for Arizona.

Just a note you paid Micheal Douglas's father, Curtis Douglas., 7.5m. Assuming that's a mistake, that's another 7m to spend on another UFA you desire.

going to assume for douglas meant 750k and he will never see NHL ice he is barely AHL level. sorry if he is your buddy.
lamoureux will be in AHL next year, he is 19and not NHL ready.
think valimaki and one of dumba or stecher comes back. 3 (basically) rookies under 23 on the blueline is too young, when add kesselring is 23 (rookie this year) moser is still 23 and durzi is 25.
otherwise looks good

Yeah, guess I added a zero when giving a league min contract to Douglas. I see him becoming a bottom six plug (13/14 forward) that can consume ice with his size and be a general PITA player if there are injuries to the guys that will take abuse (Doan, McBain, Crouse, Bjugstad). A role player for injury needs.

Agreed that graduating all of the rookies would be a mistake and an additional veteran or two will be needed. Just wanted to put them all on a page together to visualize some of the next gen players and where they may fit.
