Nashville has invested too much into Glass to just move him for an older Monahan.

I read report about Nashville potentially trading Glass for an upgrade in the middle six

Monahan isn’t much of an upgrade given his injury history and pending UFA status at 29. They can just wait from him to his FA if they wanted him of all people

Monahan is a way better player. He has a cheaper contract. He looks back from his injury so it might be less of a concern. He is one of the few habs to not have been injured this year.

But hey, I was just trying to be original and not trade a first for Monahan

I could see glass being traded for an upgrade. Monahan is playing well but due to his injury history shouldnt be much interest for nashville as a long term upgrade. That is basically the same issue Glass has.... constant injury risk.

Even with retention I’m pretty sure Dallas needs you to take a salary back

Yeah, Nashville might not need Monahan. I was just trying something different

I mean, sure. Faksa? Somebody else? If it’s Suter the second become a first and no retention

Not sure. I just meant in general. Fox and Suter both have no trade protection so I doubt they’d allow it

Marchment? Or they pay another team a fifth for double retention
