Description
Andersson Is 27, has 3 yrs left, 2 after this one, on his current contract and if the Flames rebuild, I don’t see him wanting to ride that out over moving to a contender and trying for a Cup, so I think it’s unlikely he stays in Calgary.

Calgary, if they rebuild, would be unwise to keep a trade asset like Andersson when they can get draft and prospect capital that would be very helpful for their rebuild.

Yes, WPG fans, I know you want to keep all your high picks and top prospects instead of trying to be a true contender and win a Cup, but this is all hypothetical so breath and relax. Chevy is the Jets GM and he is as mediocre as they come.

What would the return look like for both Andersson and Lindholm, extended, to WPG.
Start with ‘24 1st, ‘25 1st, Heinola, Lucius, and Schmidt has to be involved… what would need to be added to make this happen…. Be realistic

Despite what Windjammer will come here and tell you, either will cost a pretty penny.

Andersson will cost more while being a 50pt dman on a bargain of a contract.

Lindholm will probably cost somewhere around a 1st and a decent prospect + a roster player.

I think you've got the right idea with your offer there.

Obviously Perfetti is the big chip anyone would want from the Jets. I imagine he's untouchable to Jets fans, but that's how Flames fans feel about Andersson. Lucius is a nice consolation, as is Lambert. I like Heinola but the Flames have two offensive D-men in their system already (Poirier & Morin), and Poirier should be knocking on the door in the next couple of years. Kuzmin seems like a bit more of a Hanifin replacement in the future, but really Calgary should be getting any young defensemen they can.

If the Jets are really motivated, I'd suggest Schmidt and Barron (mostly for cap), 2024 and 2025 1st, one of Lucius or Lambert, Kuzmin and Tyrel Bauer. Maybe a later pick or two as well.

I think Perfetti is untouchable for the Jets because of how well he’s doing and how cheap he costs… huge for us right now.
I can see the inclusion of Heinola as a D out D in thing, but if the Flames would prefer other options, that works too.
For me, I consider Lambert and Salomonsson as our untouchable prospects, so I’d be good with Lucius, Kuzmin, and Bauer.

If Chevy could somehow pull this off he’d go down as a legend in Winnipeg and have a statue erected in his honour.
This would make the Jets a true contender, not just for the playoffs, but for the Stanley Cup.

Andersson really isn't available but a base of Lucius/Lambert + 1st for Lindholm (assuming extension) is within reason. Flames have no room for random forward roster players like Kupari but they will have spots on their d-core for like Stanley

Easy pass for Jets.
Jets can’t afford Lindholm and Andersson.
Jets are a better team without both of these players TBH.
Why would you do this trade?

Why would you do this trade?

Are you serious or did you fall down and hit your head?
These 2 would massively increase WPGs chances of success.
Wait, aren’t you one of those who thinks Tanev would make us hugely better?
I’m assuming by your name that you just don’t want WPG to get better

idk how i feel about andersson because our D is playing well and has good chenistry, but adding lindholm would
be huge to fill the 2c hole. id be fine paying a 1st+lucius even without an extension because of how potent we’d be plus his help on special teams
