Why would NJ be selling?

Seattle isn't giving up two guys with term since they have lots of expiring deals

I’d sell toffoli as NJD but take out a 1st Janmark and Mcleod and we’re set

I don't see a reason why Seattle would make that trade. Doesn't address Seattle's needs to trade those two and creates more issues.

Because cap space, picks, and prospects is a terrible thing to have for a team that isn’t contending this year and are still looking to develop

If New Jersey doesn’t look like they’ll be making the plods with how stacked their division is and the slow start then they will definitely look to gain some assets back on toffoli and with McLeod expiring I don’t see why they couldn’t atleast make a pitch for him too. Giving up term for expiring deals doesn’t really mean much, Seattle is going to have lots of cap space and flexibility this offseason to resign whoever they want.
