but between the canuck's top D prospects of Willander, Brzustewicz and EPD I would trade Brzustewicz as I think his value will never be higher then now while Willander and EPD have a more complete game and can effect the game without scoring

Do you want another Gustav Forsling situation?

It's the Canucks so they will have another Forsling situation
but that doesn't change the fact this year is the year Canucks need to go for it because;
a great start, weak division, stars playing like stars and that next year is unknown without Petey and Hronek signed
So I say go for broke, like when the Canucks traded for Toffoli and that worked out well and Guentzel is a better overall player then Toffoli

The Penguins block Allvin's number. That's atrocious.

It's WAY too early to determine what Brzustewicz is going to be. He leads the OHL in points, and the entire CHL in points for d-men (and it's not close). He's a +26 as an 18/19 year old, but was even a +8 as a 17/18 year old on an average Rangers team. So many signs are pointing to this kid as being something with serious NHL potential, think Adam Fox. I'm a big fan of Willander too, but I'm not sure I'd choose him over Hunter right now.

Why would the Isles be sending an additional asset in that trade? Basically the same cap hit and the same term, and neither is scoring much, but JGP is at least still useful even if he's not scoring.

No, going for broke only demonstrates a like of confidence and organizational fragility, this management team isn't going to allow a Gustav Forsling scenario to happen, that was purely on the previous regime's lack of prudence

You must not have been a Canucks fan for long because they will do this again as they ate the Canucks like how they traded Neely away and Rick Vaive and Micheal Peca so they always do things like that in their history
