I would say it's intriguing as a Van fan. A lot to like about Smith's game.

Van should take this and run. Kuzmenko is a fraud. Someone is going to be get ripped off trading for him, might as well be a team with a playoff ready center.

He doesn’t forecheck or backcheck. That makes him a non -NHLer right off the bat. Most of his production was pushed by EP40 last year, and without it his production is a smoke screen as well.

And to add he was shooting at 27.3% last year, so we are just seeing him come back to the mean, not that hes bad but that shooting % was unsustainable and this year you’re more seeing what his offensive production is in reality. As for the trade it’s interesting of course but i like smith and hes good on the pk as well so for me its a no.
