The Avs have a very good well-rounded roster... It's just the first line pulling their weight a lot more this season. Don't get me wrong the Avs probably aren't cup contenders (that depth is not great) but they aren't just relying on goaltending to bail out a lot of issues

30 goals in 6 games Wouldn’t call that a full carry by the goalies.

Bruins depth is not the probably we are very well rounded we are just missing a 1C every other position is covered.

Why exactly not... your team is massively overachieving because of goaltending. The retirement of Bergeron and Krejčí firmly shut your window shut. You guys don't have the organizational depth to keep contending... sure you have some pieces but not enough depth to really compete especially down the middle. You guys should get some draft picks and start the process of rebuilding

Swayman's a part of the long-term future of the team. If selling him is key to "getting draft picks and rebuilding" should we trade McAvoy and Pasta too?

They are going to be good depth pieces but that's probably about it

    Dude Poitras is gonna be a Top 6 C no doubt, Lohrei's already a Top 4 D-man

Poitras is scoring at a pretty good clip for his role but I wonder about his ability to produce as a top-6 forward but Lohrei isn't already a top-4 D-man... he might be one day but not right not.

Your bottom six are pretty bad except for Poitras
You haven't played a good healthy team in any of those six games
But 1C is literally one of the most important positions in the NHL

JVR has 25pts in 35 games. Trent Frederic is on pace for 25 goals and 45 points. Danton Heinen's on pace for 30+ points on league minimum. That's not bad

JVR hasn't been great in his own end and Fredric and Heinen has been pretty good. They might be having good stretches but they are destined to fall back to earth sometime soon

    Our depth sucks?? Still confused
JVR-Frederic-Heinen is our 3rd line and they have been great for us.

Morgan Geekie now that he’s adjusted to the team has 13 points in his last 15 games

Beecher may not score but he’s great on the draw 53% as rookie is very good, he’s solid PK and defensively.

You can use the argument we didn’t face healthy team but we are still top 3 in the league can’t make any excuses for 39 games.

We have 10 guys over .5ppg I’m not worried about depth
Heinen is close to near .5ppg and lindholm has took a more defensive role but his offence has been showing up lately.

Go look at any advanced analysis on his game this season and it will show he’s been more than good defensively for us. You are just talking at out of your a** at this point go do some research

-.9 Defensive GAR according to evolving hockey
4th worst xGA/60 by Boston Forwards.
    3rd worst SCA/60

That's not talking out of my a**

Morgan Geekie is not a first line center in any way... he was a fourth line center in Carolina not so long ago
JVR-Frederic-Heinen advanced metrics are absolutely awful together... 31.7% xGF%, 42% SCF%, 16.7% HDCA%. The only reason they look slightly good is a 18.75% shooting percentage the team has when on the ice

Beecher has been very good for being a rookie
I'm not saying that your not a good team... I'm saying that your cup contention window shut
A lot of your depth peices are either young or having seasons that are outliers with their past performances (Danton Heinen, JVR, Fredrick)

Frederic scored 17 goals and 14 assists last season, this year is just another step in his growth as a player. JVR had some of the worst puck luck in the league last year and had a career-low in points. He's just got a little better luck. Heinen scored 40+ in his last stint in Boston. He's a great bottom 6ers with a decent scoring touch.

None of these guys are shooting 25+ percent. Heinen and JVR are actually shooting lower than their career averages. Frederic's numbers are inflated bc of this hot streak but even if they come back down to 14% like last year, he's still gonna put up 20+ goals.
