If they can sign Swayman, DeBrusk, and Guentzel I'll be over the moon. That's an awesome offseason

Lohrei's become a legit top 4 D option, he was incredible tonight. No reason to move Coyle and Swayman is the future in net

5 acceptable ways in which Boston can pay for Tarasenko
Bruins aren't trading Lysell and sure as hell aren't trading Poitras for Tarasenko. Other 3 options are workable

Bruins sure as hell aren't trading their best Center Prospect since a certain David Krejčí first wore the Spoked B for a player who may very well sign here as a UFA this summer

You're gonna have to pay a LOT more for Crosby.

I don’t see them signing JDB unless Lindholm signs an extension.</div></div>
I don't see why they wouldn't. There's not much better than him hitting UFA and he's still a big part of the top 6. Team doesn't get any better by letting him walk

You are right, its normal.
But its also normal to see that player on another team in year or two.</div></div>
Sway feels different though. Part of it is the fact that he's our future in net for the better part of the next decade and he just jives so well with Bruins culture, kinda reminds me of Tim Thomas with how he's always getting chirpy in scrums

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsWoahWoah</b></div><div>This is a good trade. That being said...
I'd hate to give up Lysell - I'd almost rather make it Merkulov and add an extra mid-round pick or another piece. I don't like Lindholm at $9M AAV and wonder if Hertl would be a better pivot for Pasta/Zacha</div></div>
Honestly, the Bruins might be better off sticking with their in-house options. Hertl's signed until 2030 and by then that contract will be pretty bad. Lysell's younger and gives you more financial flexibility, and assuming he makes the jump next year, allows you to fill a top 6 role with a cheap talent rather than having to spend extra. Besides, you have Poitras who's gonna grow into a top 6 role in the next few years as well, not to mention guys like Merkulov and Locmelis

It would have to include poitras, lohrei or lysell.</div></div>
When Horvat was traded he had way more points than Lindholm does currently, he's younger AND he was the captain of the Canucks. I think a Pick and Geekie and/or Prospect is a fair return but that prospect won't be Lysell, Lohrei, or Poitras. At best it'll be Merkulov or Brett Harrison.

Swayman
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>There is a reason so many teams/players settle before the arb hearing. They are ugly…very ugly…and more often than not, they permanently harm the relationship between the two. Rarely do players who go through it actually end up with that team long term. It’s more like a trial than a negotiation.
Since his deal was an award, it was only one year. So any extension talk waits until January.
Now, in second week of January, he brings this up out of the blue?
Yeah, fair to say he doesn’t sound long for Boston.</div></div>
Ray Bourque went to arbitration with the Bruins. Sway's posturing if anything, trying to maximize his pay day next summer. I have no doubts he stays in Boston

goalie and center
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>seanrushton</b></div><div>Morgan Geekie is not a first line center in any way... he was a fourth line center in Carolina not so long ago
JVR-Frederic-Heinen advanced metrics are absolutely awful together... 31.7% xGF%, 42% SCF%, 16.7% HDCA%. The only reason they look slightly good is a 18.75% shooting percentage the team has when on the ice
Beecher has been very good for being a rookie
I'm not saying that your not a good team... I'm saying that your cup contention window shut
A lot of your depth peices are either young or having seasons that are outliers with their past performances (Danton Heinen, JVR, Fredrick)</div></div>
Frederic scored 17 goals and 14 assists last season, this year is just another step in his growth as a player. JVR had some of the worst puck luck in the league last year and had a career-low in points. He's just got a little better luck. Heinen scored 40+ in his last stint in Boston. He's a great bottom 6ers with a decent scoring touch.
None of these guys are shooting 25+ percent. Heinen and JVR are actually shooting lower than their career averages. Frederic's numbers are inflated bc of this hot streak but even if they come back down to 14% like last year, he's still gonna put up 20+ goals.
