Yeah Canucks aren’t giving all that up for Stamkos if he’s just going to walk in the summer.

Oh man...no way. I love Stammer, but no bloody way are we giving up Pods + two firsts for him. Motte is worth the 4th rounder though.

Possibly take off one of the firsts and change it to a second or at worst nothing.

laugh There's zero chance of Stamkos signing with Vancouver. Plus once they re-sign Pettersson and Hronek. I seriously doubt they could afford Stamkos as well.

And no Noah Hanifin isn't signing in Tampa. He's going home to Boston.

Never said Stamkos was re-signing with Vancouver, just an example contract. Hanifin could sign with the Lightning.

Tampa is on the decline, No way is Hanifin signing there. Stamkos leaves it's going to leave a major hole there.

A soft retool is needed more than anything. Right now this ACGM has only 2 right shot forwards on this team, and trading away Stamkos also leaves a 1T void on Power Play 1.
I can't see us being in on Hanifin considering the right side defense needs more help than anything.
MoSeider53 and Newgod77 liked this.

I thought Stamkos would not agree to a trade. That is his right if he chooses to exercise it.

Canucks can't afford Stamkos.
Tampa can keep Stamkos.
Podz is staying not going.
Here's what I would do for the first trade - Canucks can trade their 4th round (NJ) 2024 pick to Tampa in exchange for Tyler Motte. Does that seem fair?

He played with the Rangers before, but I can't remember what year.
