Idk if the rangers would be interested in tarasenko, also i dont mind sending a 4th to a 3rd team to double retain and maximise his value.

They are.

They just don't want to pay the price for him.

Like any other team, they'd rather give us scraps.

I feel like a Giroux deal with retention for Kakko and a 1st would be very similar to the Tippett and a 1st return

I think Giroux wants to be an Ottawa Senator for the rest of his career.

I wouldn’t mind Kubalik at that price, but the problem is the Rangers need right wingers and it seems like Kubalik is mainly on the left side

His best asset is his one-timer.

He might start off on the left side for the faceoff, but he'll shift to the right side to make it.

Unfortunately, we've decided to use him as a 3rd line checker playing with AHL scrubs like Rourke Chartier.

It obviously hasn't worked out.

He has always seemed like a good player and like anyone else, you have to set them up for success

Right now the Rangers game plan should be 3C is the priority since they’ll get Kakko back. Then around TDL they’ll have a better idea if Kakko belongs on the top line or not

And no chance NYR does that. Last year they paid less for him and to fill a D void. If you’re expecting more than 2nd+ NYR won’t be the partner. I’d rather overpay for Kubalik tbh. Now someone else may pay multiple 1sts in value for him. There could be a massive bidding war for him. But CD has been nothing but consistent with replenishment of high end prospects. He will be drafting a 1st for the next 2-3 years unless it’s a conditional 2nd>1st meaning they have massive success(a cup).

Giroux easily gets a 1st ++ for a very close to point per game player

When did Giroux become on the market?! I thought you were suggesting his previous trade as a benchmark for Senko?!

That I would do. However he has a NMC so it’s a no from him

The rangers don't need Right wingers.
Laf is playing fine on his right side, Kakko comes back in a week or so. That's a top 6 of RW's.

The rangers probably need some better 4th line players.

Yea and what happens if Kakko doesn’t look good or he’s still not 100%. Gonna keep him on the top line? Or bump him to 3rd and find a top line RW

Giroux is worth more than a bust and a late 1st, especially if retained

We'd possibly consider this, after a long search. Senko & Giroux are not an option for us, certainly not for Kakko

And way more than you hope. Big boys take a while, our kids were all eased in, he's got the tools and will have a good career. Could get a late 1st easy, if we decide to. We'll know more after this run

That’s why he wouldn’t be moved.

His D is excellent and just needs to finally click offensively like Laf has. People calling a kid a bust is absolutely hilarious. NYR values him more than others no doubt, because they are the ones investing in his development. They are trying to build 2 way players. Zegras’ are well and good for selling tickets and a few highlights here and there for cheeky plays but he also isn’t winning a cup for a franchise. It’s why we all laugh at this 11.5M nylander deal.
