DET could maybe get something for Holl, but I doubt CHI is the team to do it.

It doesn't matter ASP isn't going to be ready for the NHL next season.

And I can't see Yzerman going with two completely untested goalies at the NHL level either

Think of Trey Augustine as a Carter Hart. Breaks into the league at a young age. Had a great world juniors and a big part of why MSU is having a good year. Also, this requires Cossa to get a couple good AHL seasons under his belt.

Maybe Cossa sings before the 2024-25 season and gets some PT in the 2024-25 season.

For sure. We shall see. It kills that Wallstedt seems to be the better pick at the moment. I questioned this pick from day one. Ugh

You DO realize this is only one more season away, right? You have the rest of this season, and then next. And that's it. Then your scenario happens. So, let's just assume that Cossa has an absolutely lights-out season in the AHL in 2024/2025, AND let's assume Augustine decides to go pro after THIS season, and is the backup to Cossa next season in the AHL....You're just gonna have both of them up at the National level the following season?

That's a HUGE gamble that has way more risk than reward. At least to me, anyway.

For sure and I agree with all that. In this scenario, they're both ready for the show in the eyes of GMSY
