Come playoff time, I sure some Leaf supporters and some Leaf haters will say. "Leafs need a tough guy in the playoff like Reaves." And he doesn't hurt the cap. Keep Samsonov, there is no proven backup if either Jones/Woll get injured. Against with half the season over, he doesn't hurt the cap that much.

Well the Leafs aren’t getting “anything” for either Reaves or Samsonov and there isn’t “anyone” who will take them without the Leafs adding sweetners.

Reaves is a problem with the cap. He is an overpaid, too much term, aged 4th liner.
