Not sure why Anaheim would trade Terry for a guy on his way out of the league and young guy with not a ton of potential.

i *KNOW* you dont watch habs, nor read any articles. it's quite obvious with that statement (about arber)

I was just at a habs game. Anyway, Arber does have potential, but not enough for this trade to go through. He doesn't have HIGH potential but definitely does have some.

I respect that. I will admit that I haven't seen him play much. Maybe it's because he's got other young players playing well such as Caufield and Suzuki that he's being shoved out of the spotlight

Arber is not being traded. Potential or not he will be Montreal 4, 5, or 6th defense(not a top 3 D on any team). Anaheim has a better chance on getting Mailloux than Arber.

He's a depth defenseman with a heart warming story.

You can find goons anywhere, he has minimal value, sure as **** doesn't get a top six forward.

And trust me, we don't want him, OP is a Habs fan.

ive seen it said well here but the basic idea is

arber is sent dfown to work on things that the habs want and need from him in the long term.

short term, have him fight and hget hurt fighting meaningless fights for no chance at nothing? or send him down to ahl to win, develop, and learn.

its the classic detroit red wings developemnt trategy thhat worked for... a damned long time.

need winners to win
