Doesn't make alot of sense for the Blues. We don't really need pieces. We need a piece. We need a top end defensive prospect. Lindstein had a great WJC, but aside from him there's alot of hopes in our prospect pool on defense. On forward our prospect pool is probably the best it's ever been. Downgrading from Buch to Kuzmenko probably isn't worth adding more longshots.

From my view, i'm leaning more towards hoping they re-sign Buch. There's a really clear pathway to a functional team here. Our defense has been much better, and our 5v5 play hasn't been bad. Our special teams has been the nightmare, and Snuggerud's shot may be the thing that helps solve the PP.

It doesn't make sense to give up that many assets if Kuzmenko is the cap going the other way.

If you wanna re-sign him fine but absolutely nobody is giving you a top d prospect for a rental winger

Not happening. Same thing as Boeser last season. All media hype and he stayed, as will Kuzmenko. Move on.

Can't imagine the Blues rate Raty that much. And I'm not sure how they'd feel about Kuzmenko, either. But yeah, D is the top priority. They're loaded with forwards.
