JEE is a very good player. I feel the Horvat trade is fairly good comparable, but JEE comes with a long term team friendly deal. Some may argue this is an overpay, if it is it's very slight, but your probably going to have to overpay to have MIN part with him.

The Horvat trade isn’t a good comparison because the salary cap exists and JEEK’s cap hit is $3.25m less than what Horvat is signed for. Vancouver would need to add a lot and I mean a lot to get Minnesota to consider. JEEK 100% isn’t available.

If the point was to do a fun “what if?” ACGM, just do McDavid 50% retained. It’s about as likely to happen.
