Why does Edmonton do this? Kane is cheaper and way more physical than Guentzel. Also signed to a reasonable cap hit whereas Guentzel will likely want 7M+.

Kane's cap hit is hurting the team if he can't produce. Sure, he's physical -- but at what cost? He consistently gets outscored and outchanced up and down the lineup. Guentzel is a far superior player and has nearly double the points of Kane this year.
