That's true, but I guess the Jets aim for success in playoffs where Hathaway will be more useful. Also he's signed through the next season, that's why I think it's worth MTL's 2nd

Apples is also signed through the next season and is showing some chemistry with certain linemates… there’s really no incentive for WPG to do this.

4th line wingers with 5 points aren't worth 2nd round picks with or without retention.
