I like Walker, but there is absolutely zero shot that Dallas is trading a 1st Round Pick AND their top prospect for him. Dallas isn't giving up Stankoven alone for him, let alone adding their 24 1st Round Pick.

This is a MASSIVE overpay by the Stars.

You’re probably right, but Dallas, and a few other teams, is looking for a RD upgrade. There is definitely a potential for a bidding war for his services. The Stars have Stankoven and Bourque at AHL level. The Flyers would also have to pay down close a third of the cost to make it work for Dallas. I can admit it is an overpay, but if that’s the market value, then that’s the market value.

As a flyers fan I would love this but definitely way too much. I would personally do Walker, Seeler, and mid-round pick for just Stankoven, but I am not sure if DAL needs that many dmen.
