Sorry i don't see Toews going back to Chicago without Kane.

He pretty much said that it's either hometown Winnipeg or retirement.

Mrazek will get more on the open market so Chicago will have to pay more to bring him back....plenty of cap space.

Reichel won't get as much given his slump this year. Probably a bridge deal between $1.5M and $3M at this rate.

Toews isn't coming back.

Cap goes up a lot, I believe $87.5M, not sure what the cap floor will be?

Will be interesting to see if Nazar makes the team.

I dont think Mrazek gets that much in FA, goalies are pretty low unless they are elite elite. But sure, toss 3.5m at him. He's said he likes it in Chicago, im sure he'd like to win but I dont think he is against staying. I think the Hawks still believe in Reichel and take a gamble. 1. helps reach cap floor 2. If they can lock in term now, it will look much better once he starts popping off again. I think Nazar signs but spends the year in Rockford. College schedule and Pro hockey schedule are much different, plus learning to play center or move to wing at the pro level will take some time, they wont want to rush him.

Reichel will surely get bridged, which is generally 3 years, and that 3 year value would be $1.5M to $3M at the high range as of now. Mrazek still gets more than $2M, plenty of teams would easily pay him that for a backup role. I would rather see Nazar in the AHL because of the adjustment, but also wouldn't be surprised if he makes the team simply because next season the Hawks aren't competing and because he's so fast and the AHL is a much slower more physical game bump and bruise game than skill and speed.

lol. Did you just pull that out of your a$$? He never said that, at least not publicly. Also, he really hasn't played with Kane for years other than the occasional scrambling of the lines. The fact that you think Toews and Kane are attached at the hip proves how little you know about them.

CHI isn't even close to giving up on Reichel. But they aren't gonna give him $4M, either. If he were UFA status, maybe they do it just to fill some cap space. But, as an RFA, a $4M aav changes the entire equation of his third contract, and could complicate things in the mean time.
