You are right. Peeke would be a cap dump. So why in the world do you think he would be a "long term improvement"?

We should not be accepting cap dumps from teams.

I would love Larsson but that 2nd would need to be a 1st. Seattle just won 9 games in a row and they are back in the playoff hunt. So I see it less likely than I did 1 month ago.

I think Trenin and Smith are great 4th line defensive grinders. Can easily be signed in the 1-2m range and improve our bottom 6 if we keep them.

Peeke is bad, but Columbus isn’t cap strapped to have to pay a 3rd to dump him. a team MIGHT pay a late pick for him and Columbus could get him off their hands.

He’s not a long term improvement and is not good in a top 4 role.

I realise now that I missed named my team tears of joy Was working on something else and then pivoted to this. This one should probably be named something like Keeping 1st Rounders. Sorry for the confusion!!

Sorry for the confusion everyone, this team was missed named tears of joy I was working on something much more retool like before changing my mind and making this team. Should be named something like Keeping 1st. Thanks for the replies nonetheless.

I hope Seattle ends up falling out again in order to make their guys available. I wouldn't mind Justin Schultz either.
