Ya why would TML ever want an established good contract actual number 1 goalie !
I mean if you look at the TML history we do liek putting our money into train wrecks land long shots liek Samsonov , Campbell, Hutchinson, Raycroft.
Why on earth would we want a .907 Goalie who has term and is doing that on a very sub par team.

The reason is when Woll comes back Elvis would be the backup. So paying a backup 5.4M doesn't make much sense. Woll is the leafs future in net and his stats before injury had him 11th in goaltending with a below average defense in front of him. Idk anything about the jackets defense but the leafs don't have anyone who can clear the front of the net.
