Lehners career is over, And i doubt he waives for Ottawa.

Try more like 7x7 for Brett Pesce, And i seriously doubt he signs in Canada.

575000 X 6 was pretty conservative tbf (no canada tax accounted for either), but i think 7x7 is his upper ceiling

yes trading the better LD and keeper the lesser one (chabot) is how you wins cups....OTT is not trading Chych

were trading someone and he makes the most logical sense to go. nobody with a sound mind is touching the Chabot contract; the best bet is to find him a good compliment at RD (finally) and hope he can get back to what he can be

OTT will be able to trade chabot, wont get as much as they would chych tho but Chabot is still a great puck mover and can QB the #1PP, Chabot also needs a fresh start on a new team more than any player on the sens or NHL

He *can* be good at those, but he hasn't been this year. Couple that with his myriad of injuries these past 2 (even 3) seasons and the fact that hes owed a ton of money the next 4 years (with an NTC to boot), and the market will dry up very quickly. if there even is one.

Chych trade would give us the best possibility to recoup assets in areas we need for the short and long term. He an expiring UFA at seasons end next year anyways, and tbh I wouldn't want to pay him UFA rate given our problems

because they are not moveable pieces, they play irreplaceable roles on the team. Chych's role on the team is absolutely replaceable.

For that price Brett Pesce would remain in Carolina, Ottawa and their situation would have to offer far more.

I think you should move Chabot over Chychrun but there is probably more of a market for Chychrun. Regardless I don't think either should be moved until the offseason unless someone blows you away with an offer

I would agree, I just can envision a scenario where trading chabot nets the sens anything we could use to address our needs
